God good. Devil bad.

"God is good."

THE DEVIL SOMETIMES COMES AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT because he was one (2 Corinthians 11:14). He was an anointed cherub who walked in the presence of God, beautiful in appearance and filled with anointed song. When he exalted himself above God’s throne (or tried to), God cast him out. God is never surprised by anything, so the devil did not sneak up on Him. But when he fell, Satan lost everything, his wisdom, his glory, his appearance. He had nothing left, and so he tempted Eve.

The devil tries to imitate God, and to the spiritually immature and to those not part of God’s great salvation, he succeeds. But to those who know Christ in them, who know the Spirit of God, and the Word of God, he is recognizable. There are a few keys to his speech and his actions which give him away. You can know these are not God.

FEAR
CONDEMNATION
CONFUSION
TEMPTATION TO EVIL

God will not make you afraid. The fear of God talked about in the Bible is reverence. Terror, anxiety, worry, and any other form of fear is from the devil. And all forms of fear: fear of man, fear of failure, fear of situations, fear for your health, fear about your family, the list goes on, all are from the devil. Fear can be subtle and sneak up on you, but it is still fear. We sometimes call it “common sense,” but it is still fear.

God will not condemn you. Anything that makes you feel like you’ve messed up and (a) God will not talk to you now or (b) you cannot be forgiven because you’re not sincere enough, not repentant enough, not in faith is condemnation. Condemnation is a weight of sin that Jesus died and rose again to remove. The devil wants you to feel condemned and even better if you blame it on God. Know this truth and God will set you free.

God will not make you confused. The devil wants us to question everything and be conflicted. He brings doubt about information, about people, about our actions. When we don’t know which way to go and feel pushed to the edge of a decision, that is the devil. When it seems like nothing makes sense, and we become frustrated and angry over it, that is the devil. Depression and suicide are of the devil.

God does not tempt us to evil, and this includes not only the obvious things listed in the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21) but also sickness and disease and poverty. These are evils that the Father sent Jesus to free us from. The devil brings injury, viruses, and genetic disorders of all types. Cancer is of the devil. Organ failure is of the devil. Debt is of the devil. Anything that afflicts our mind or body with illness is from the devil. Period.

GOD IS:

PEACE
FORGIVENESS
WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, AND REVELATION
HEALING AND HEALTH
PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS

God is good always. Every action He takes, every motive He has, every judgment He makes is to do good for us. He cannot not be good. God is love always. He cannot not be love. He has described Himself in Matthew 5:3-9 and 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. These are who we are because these are who He is. Jesus is the manifestation of the Father, and we are to be perfect (mature) as He is perfect (Matthew 5:48).

God is the God of peace. Jesus is the Prince of peace, who gave us His peace (John 14:27). The Holy Spirit grows the fruit of peace in us. We are promised peace beyond understanding when we pray. If what you are facing does not give you peace, it is not God. God delights in forgiveness. He sent Jesus so that we could be forgiven forever. Not once a year, like under the Old Covenant, but continually. He removes our sins from us as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). He hungers to forgive.

God is all wisdom and knowledge and understanding of that knowledge. There is nothing He does not know, no person He does not see and hear and desire to reveal Himself to. He is never blind nor deaf to us. He sent His Holy Spirit so that we’d have access to all of His revelation. Anything you need to know or want to know He will teach you when you seek Him. When we are confused, that is the devil. God desires us to grow up spiritually, and He will only use good things to aid our growth.

God is our healing from physical and mental trauma and infirmity. Jesus’ blood, shed on the cross, is our complete restoration. Nothing is impossible for Him, and all things we need are provided when we believe He rewards His children (Hebrews 11:6). We believe in Jesus, the Healer, and our healing is assured without question. God will never refuse to heal and restore and deliver from oppression and sickness. If we have any form of physical illness or mental weakness, that is the devil. Accidents and injuries are from the devil. Genetic sicknesses – heart disease, diabetes, mental handicaps – and anything else which came from parents or grandparents is from the devil. Jesus is our Healer.

God is of infinite wealth and has promised us blessings exceeding, abundantly above all we can ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). He has no poverty in Him and will go to any extent to lead us into great success. He desires everything we do to bring us abundance: our jobs, our investments, our children, our talents. In His eyes, all forms of our finances should be more than we can contain. He is extremely generous, so we are generous. Through Christ, His nature of generosity is in us. When in a financial strait, we only need to ask Him for the wisdom we need, and He will provide it. We can trust Him one hundred percent, knowing any poverty, any lack, any money problems we have are from the devil.

God is good at all times. He is never not good. He can only be good. He is complete goodness, and His goodness is mercy everlasting and love forever and eternal life in every area of our lives. What then of His judgment? Judgment is a last resort as the result of unrepented sin. It is not God with a hammer but that He removes His mercy. This earth is alive in all ways because of the life of God upon it. If God were to remove His life, all on it would die. But God is good. He is merciful and seeks any way, every way to be merciful. God will not allow evil to remain evil and to destroy completely but will turn the situation into good for the righteous who trust in Him. To think otherwise makes something impossible to Him, and with God nothing is impossible.

The devil is a defeated foe and remains defeated. He never gets the victory over God. Never. Any vision we have which looks otherwise is wrong, and if we seek His face, He will reveal His goodness to us. That is why He sent Jesus. Jesus manifested the goodness of God to us.

(Remedy) “And we know that in all things, at all times, in all circumstances, God works for the good of his creation and for the good of all who love him. Those who have accepted God’s call—to work with him according to his purpose—experience the good things that God has for them.”
(TPT) “So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.”
